This weeks lecture was gathering information on the introduction of this course and giving us some basic outlines on computer skills and the understanding of the basic computer. We learnt about the new technologies and applications that will need to under go and the equipment we need for this unit. We also learned about the ecu on-line simo system and the blackboard application.
Here are the six main student responsibilities for this unit and course-

Workshop
Week 1 workshop was an introduction and overview of what the unit will cover and entail. logging on/off the computer, using windows vista and other programs. Started creating our bloggers and used all the notes from blackboard which we learnt about aswell. We went through the basic steps one by one on designing your our blog and how to use blogs. We also touched on screen shoots and imageshack.

Readings -
The reading on PC lube and tune is all about a service station that gives the comptuer users of the world access to useable introductions, tutorials, and education on technical subjects. Articles in PCLT are freely available for network browsing by individuals, although copying, printing, redistribution, commercial, or corporate use is prohibited without a license.
This reading has many text relating to how to manage, control and know your computer and its hardware. Some of the main texts relate to high speed communications, How to plan, partition, install, and remove DOS, OS/2, NT and an introduction to PC hardware.
